Stem Cell Research
In this Time article, recent advances in stem cell research are discussed. In 2001, President Bushbanned all federal financing of stem cell research. However, other nations are continuing this area of research, and the results hold promise for such diseases as Parkinson's Disease and Alzheimer's Dementia. Stem cells can be easily obtained, however many moral questions remain. Is it appropriate to use an embryo for scientific purposes, even if the result may save lives?
